We left the Brothers Islands via Frederick Sound to Stephens Passage early in the morning in hopes of making
it to Tracy Arm, East of Admiralty Island.
It was an early start and Chef Rich served the best Crab Cakes Benedict (remember the crabs that we
caught at Hoonah Sound) that we've ever had.
We saw more whales but the fog closed in and we decided to wait until tomorrow to see Tracy Arm (Glaciers!).
We anchored in no name bay (it hasn't been named) at the mouth of Tracy Arm...in the fog....in the drizzle...
watching the icebergs drift out of Tracy Arm.
The scenery was beautiful...we were on vacation ...and as Fred Myers (author of several cruising guides for
the TennTom Waterway) says, "If THIS isn't IT, what is?". We popped a DVD ("The
Green Mile", one of many DVDs onboard) into the player, poured a drink and kicked back.
As it turned out, the decision to wait was a good one as you will see...

From the anchorage we could see ice bergs floating by in Tracy Arm after the fog lifted.
This one was estimated to be close to 100' long |

Dave (L),Chef Rich (middle), creator of the best Crab Cakes Benedict in Southeast Alaska
and Maria. We found that ice from a glacier is very dense and melts veeeeery slowly...and keeps your
drink cold forever. |

Maria in the salon looking for a DVD. It so hard to make a decision when you're on vacation. |
